Will Storage

With our will storage service, we take care of the entire process – from submission and secure storage to release according to your wishes – for an annual fee of SEK 400. The service also includes free submissions of amendments, additions, and new versions of your will.

A will is a legal document that ensures your assets are distributed according to your wishes after your passing. Without a will, inheritance is governed by statutory rules, which may not reflect your intentions. By creating a will, you can decide exactly how your estate should be distributed and specify if certain individuals should receive specific portions of your inheritance.

Since wills are not registered with any authority in Sweden, it is important to store the original document in a safe place. Many people choose to keep their will at home, but this carries a risk – only the original is legally valid. If it gets destroyed or lost, your estate may be distributed in a way you did not intend.

With our will storage service, your will is placed in a high-security facility, where it is safely and securely stored. We handle the entire process – from submission and storage to release at the appropriate time. Unlike safety deposit boxes, where you manage your valuables yourself, our will storage is a managed service ensuring your will is protected and only released to the right person at the right time.

After your passing

We regularly retrieve information from the Swedish National Population Register (SPAR), which notifies us in the event of your passing. Once we receive confirmation of your death, your will is sent according to your specified instructions.

When registering for the service, you can designate:

• A potential executor of the will

• A potential co-testator

• A contact person

After your passing, your will is sent—following the specified order—to the person you have designated. You have full control over who receives your will.
